# Currency & locale settings in RootWright LMS

**Settings → Currency & locale** sets the currency every price is in, and how numbers are written. The format is used across pricing, carts and invoices.

| Setting | Options | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| **Currency** | Search by name or ISO code, for example **US Dollar (USD)** | Used for all course prices and refunds. |
| **Number format** | **1,234.56**, **1.234,56**, **1 234.56** | The thousands and decimal separators for prices. |
| **Symbol position** | **Before the amount**, **After the amount** | Where the currency symbol appears. |

The currency applies to every price and refund. Set it before you add prices and take payments.
